Buffer Synth writes the input audio to a buffer and them lets you 'play' it (i.e. control the size of the buffer, and the speed at which it's played through) - works best if you've got a MIDI keyboard connected.
I am aware that the name is a misnomer, but I couldn't think of anything else instead.
