With the release of ResBuilder we feel that we have released a quality product that will be as useful as Reshacker in some areas and more useful and others.
We offer some features that are not found in Reshacker that we feel are important to those creating resource files.
The new or important features in ResBuilder are:
• Automatically converts 32Bit .bmp files into .png files
• Displays DOS Header and NT Header
• Supports Addition and Deletion of Resources
• Supports creating Blank Resource files allowing authors to create Icon sets, Localization dlls, or any type of resource only file they wish
• Icon Groups and Cursor Groups
• Automatically extracts all resources to temp directory
• XML style string table display that allows for editing and displaying multiple languages
• Version information is updatable
• Colorizing images by Type, Group, All, or a single image at a time
• When extracting from a Visual Style images for each Color Scheme are dumped to a folder with the name of the Color Scheme in the temp directory
• Drag & Drop Support
• Double Clicking on an image opens it up in the default editor for that image type
• Copying images to clipboard
• Replace Resources in memory
• Built-in text and hex editor
• ResBuilder is still Freeware
