Managing a large DFS structure can be a difficult task, managing multiple large DFS Namespaces is even more daunting. The standard tools that come with Microsofts (c) Server product lines, the DFS MMC Snapin really leaves a lot to be desired.
The DFS MMC Snapin is just a basic tool and really does not have much functionality apart from creating and deleting links. However, what if you need to rename a link, repoint a link or move a link how do you do it?
The DFS Explorer is a freeware version of DFS Commander but is "read only" , it only display the DFS namespace and does not do any editing.
