The original version of Windows contained only three filters - FIND, SORT and MORE. Despite all the improvements made during the past twenty years, Windows has not added any more.
That's a shame because most people use Windows through its GUI (graphical user interface), and although the GUI may look nice, when it comes to serious work, the GUI just can't compare to the CMD window.
Using Windows commands through the CMD window interface is the best way I know to access the full power of the Windows system.
This XP Toolkit, which I shorthand as XXP (Extra XP Commands) contains almost one hundred extra XP commands and filters.
Filters are a special kind of Windows command. They are special because they can be combined with other commands. This makes them among the most convenient and most useful of all the Windows commands.
