Delayed Startup & Program Manager is a useful program that allows you to delay, or stop programs from running at a user's login to Windows. Some of these programs aren't needed, or just aren't ever used by you. So you can speed up startup a bit by stopping them.
You can also run the stopped programs from the program's icon in the system tray. And, in std+ and pro editions, create your own program groups with programs to run from there also (in batches).
By delaying their startup, you can, sometimes, actually be able to use the computer sooner after a login. Please know however, that some programs MUST be loaded at startup and can't be delayed - likewise other items on the computer might not startup properly if they were.
As a general rule, if you can disable the program from running without any real effort (i.e. the program has a "don't load at startup" option) it can normally be safely delayed.
