Calendar Visual Designer is a useful program that has an extensive set of tools for creating an art quality calendars. The rich functionality allows applying different impressive graphic effects as gradient color filling, partial transparency and many others (GDI+ technology).

The structure of calendar document looks like a tree of design items. Some of such items are visual elements (labels) and layout elements used just for binding other items (as e.g. month item binds 4 labels: month name, month days of week, month days and month background). In addition to months and year user can add any number of custom items. Custom item may be a text box, colored and framed box, image box or even their combination. All these features are valid also for month labels. For such properties as text, coloring, framing and image there are linked properties: text font, alignments, color, margins and direction, colors transparencies and gradient coloring angle, frame sides widths and color, image alignments, transparency, resizing to bounds and preserving aspect ratio etc.

As for whole calendar document besides background coloring and imaging features there are also another ones: culture (language), days of week or month name label layout, short, long or one char day of week name, first day of week, weeks count in line and so on. Also the public holidays set may be stored in separated XML file for each country and loaded if it is necessary to mark such days in the calendar as red colored.

To manipulate calendar items one can just use wide range of automatic layout commands and layers positions changing. User has a possibility to save calendar image in different graphic formats and also put it into clipboard.
