NiXPS is a cross platform sofware application that allows you to inspect and manipulate xps documents efficiently.

The XML paper specification (XPS) is a new electronic document format introduced by Microsoft. It allows you to share your documents with others in a way that they keep on looking exactly the same as you intended.

Any Vista computer can output XPS documents, and if you have Office 2007, you can even save XPS files direct from the application. Your application, your printer, your recipients all use one and the same document!.

Here are some key features of "NiXPS":

  • Merge and Split: merge documents/pages, split documents/pages, add page, ...
  • Search and Replace: search and replace text in your xps documents
  • Inspect: documents and pages, look at the xml inside, used fonts/images, ...
  • View XPS: launch the xps viewer straight from the NiXPS interface (Windows only)
  • For Windows and Mac: Windows 2/XP/2003/Vista and MacOSX 10.4 PPC/Intel
    The final release will also include the following:
  • Optimize: make smaller files, optimize for viewing, optimize for printing, ...
  • Create: convert from JPEG/TIFF
  • Compare: compare XPS documents and flag differences
  • Automate: Automation and Hotfolder support: automate all actions
